A Year Ago

The kids sat outside on our back porch and ate popsicles. It looked like this:

Head Wound

Calan and Case were playing in the kitchen. Cody and I hear crying. What's new? We hear a LOT of crying all of the time. Calan has run into the dishwasher.

High Five

If I could give my washing machine a high five I would.
She has been running for almost a week straight.
Everyone has pooped, puked, or spit-up on my, their, our, blankets, bedding, clothes, shoes, car seats.

Last night I get out of the shower and Cody is standing downstairs with Calan doing laundry.  I say to Calan, "You are going to be such a good husband when you grow up."  He looks at me and is super serious. "No, Mom. I'm not. I'm going to be a fireman and a cowboy when I grow up. YEEE-Hawww!"  Well OK then.

COCO'S 1st TOOTH has arrived!

After her bath last night she was chewing on a toothbrush. There was blood in her mouth and her very first tooth poking through her gums.  Our littlest babe ever is getting big!

Unrelated news:
                             Cora is on day 4 of constant diarrhea.
                             She went through 7 diapers yesterday before Cody got off work.
                             At night we are wrapping her in a towel.
                             Our sheets are in the laundry for the 4th day in a row.
                         

The Twins

10 months today  & 8 months.

We left the Keys in the Door

and the car was unlocked when we got up Saturday morning.
Friday night was quite a night.
We didn't even get home until after midnight.
The kids almost fell asleep during their bath.
We just can't put dirty kids in bed even if it is the middle of the night.

 We found our seats but never sat in them.

 The kids couldn't get enough of the playground. 

 Calan played and wrestled with three older boys that he met.

 The twins are always doing twin things.

We didn't tell anyone about the fireworks.

Calan went nuts.

 We officially have five kids that are not afraid of fireworks.

 We weren't sure how the babes would react but all is well.

Today we got to climb all over a fire truck.

We got to spray the hose.

Calan even tried on real boots, coat and helmet.

Just getting Back

We spent the morning at the zoo.
Again.
We will probably spend many more summer mornings there.
This spring we purchased a family pass for the year.

Stop Growing Up

Cora pulls up on everything that doesn't move.

She is now officially crawling and so is Wrigley.

They both started just last week on the very same day.

They really do think that they are twins.

It's LIBRARY TIME

Every Tuesday morning during the summer we will be spending time at the library.  Maybe not EVERY but most. The two big kids were at school yesterday so I just had Case, Cora and Wrigley.  The story that was read had a bunny named Cora in it.  Case made a ladybug and then we went home for naps. Later in the day The Potawatomi Zoo came by with a couple of creatures for the kids to learn about and touch. Camille and Calan were able to come to that since it was after school.

 

We Went to Grandma's

and spent the night.
The kids love her above ground pool.
Can't wait to see her this week, too!
