More Mouths to Feed

We have baby Cardinals on our back porch that hatched yesterday.
There are 3 naked little bird bodies now.
I have to use a mirror to look inside the nest.

Calan found a baby Mourning Dove that fell out of its nest yesterday.
He thought it was a dead baby dinosaur.
It was just a dead Mourning Dove.

No Service

I haven't had a phone since last Tuesday. It fell out of the car when I was picking up the big two from school. It was raining and when it hit the ground it exploded :) I had never lost or broken a phone. EVER. It's been kinda nice not having one. As of this morning I do have a phone but no numbers. I will be answering my phone with a question mark until I get some numbers saved.

We took the kids to the drive in this weekend.
We watched The Croods.
Everyone loved it.
Except me.
I don't love cartoons.
It's really hard for me to even pay attention to cartoons.
I'd probably even rather watch Sports Center.
Cora fell asleep under the blankets before the movie even started.

I Have a Good Idea

That's what Calan told me yesterday morning before anyone else was awake.

Friday was my only day off this week.

Nothing scheduled.

This only happens about every 3 weeks or so.

So back to Calan's good idea.

His good idea was to go to the park.

So 45 minutes later we were on our way.

 Calan gave Camille and Case trucks that they had to carry to the park.

 Everything is covered in goose poop.

They don't even move when we walk by.

They do hiss at us.

I thought I was going to have to fight one.

:)

 Case pushed Calan on the swing.

 Camille didn't feel like playing so she filled a shovel and said she was making sandwiches. 

 That splash is not from Case's rock.

Calan chased a squirrel up a tree. It then jumped down and ran up the next tree.

It jumped down again and took off across the park.

AG DAY

That's where we went.

Eating Alone

Wrigley had his first visitation on Tuesday with his Grandmothers.

This is the first time that any family has seen him since December.

Calan and Camille were at school so we took Cora and Case out for lunch.

We clearly ordered only orange things for Case to eat.

This was one of the quietest meals that we've had in a LONG time.

It felt like we were alone.

He goes to the closet and puts on his rain boots and walks out.

That's the animal that Calan thinks is sneaky.
I was the sneaky one.
I took this picture a couple of minutes ago and no one even knew I was taking their picture.

We have been outside all evening and the kids are watching umizoomi.
Now it's bath time.

Cauliflower Pizza

I've made pizza with a cauliflower crust a couple of times now and everyone likes it. I let Cora taste it this time and she went nuts. She is such an eater.

Breakfast of Champions

Calan woke up this morning and asked if I could make him mandarin oranges, macaroni & cheese and waffles for breakfast.

Not too bad for being such short notice.

Wrigley starts visitation with his Grandmothers in 2 weeks
They need separate times because they don't get along
We have been outside tons
Case pooped down his leg as I was getting kids in the car for school
Lola is eating dirt again
We sat in the yard and watched a street sweeper
Calan threw a walnut into the road and the street sweeper came and picked it up and waved
My dad butt-dialed me tonight
Wrigley got his first tooth on the 27th of March
He also rolled over today
When we got to school today Calan asked why a tree had a bunch of spikes on it (buds)
That is the feather that he got for me today
This is honestly all the time I have to type.

Jane

She's the best.

She was Camille's therapist until she turned 3.

She's back now.

Wrigley has some issues that we are sorting through.

I requested to have Jane.

Last Saturday

 We started Saturday morning at the library. There were crafts, stories and an Easter egg hunt.

After lunch we met Geo and Jaycee for a walk.

 Calan wanted a shell so Geo lowered him in to get it.

The boys also collected worms and bugs from under logs.

We've been out & about

Petting a stinky goat was a favorite.

Along with feeding fish.

 We rode the train.
That's Coco's head in the striped hat.

 The lion was spraying.
He was shooting pee all over the sidewalk and the kids were going nuts.
The geese were poking their head into his cage and eating off the ground.

 He was roaring and the geese were hissing at him.
