Gather 'round Kids

Daddy went down to the breakfast buffet to get food for everyone while we were in Evansville. When he got back the kids were starving.

Case loves biscuits & gravy.

Feeling Good

Birds in the sky
You know how I feel
 Sun in the sky
You know how I feel
 Breeze driftin' on by
You know how I feel
 It's a new dawn
 It's a new life
for me
And I'm feeling good.

Gingerbread Houses

After our mandatory foster parent meeting last night, we decided to complete another thing on the to-do list that needs to happen before our vacation next week!

It was only 30 minutes past bedtime so why not start a two hour project
-right?

Cody & the kids unwrapped all of the Halloween candy that was still left.

There, of course, was a lot of tasting.
Case liked tasting, too.
Cody & I chose our team.
Camille & Cody
against
Calan & Kati.

Calan & I finished WAY before Camille & Codes.
My house.
His house.

By the end Calan had lost both socks, his pants & was rolling on the floor.

Case was on his second piece of candy.
And no surprise...
Camille was crying.
This morning I fed the kids eggs with extra spinach, mushrooms & onions.
I put some flax seeds in them and served it on whole wheat tortillas.
Hopefully they will be back on track.

What's Wrong with

My TWO oldest?

I bet Case feels like he's been adopted.
He's the sweetest.
The quietest.
The easiest baby I know.

Healthworks! Museum

We've been twice in the past two weeks.
Thursday night was the Foster Parent/Kid Holiday Party.
I did not take my camera to that.
The kids did get to see santa and get presents, make crafts and eat cookies. Calan only ate one candy cane. Camille ate 4 cookies then kicked and screamed when I told her no more. She kept screaming "No Mama!" at me like I was hurting her. Brilliant on her part.
Here are some pics from the first time that we went.

The shopping carts were their favorite thing.
Camille was too short to reach the pedals so Codes turned them for her.

"Hey kids, go sit by that giant eye ball so I can get a pic."
"Good job!"

There's Been a LOT

Happen in the past few weeks.
Lots of LOVE lately!
We've had a LOT of turkey to eat. Which meant LOTS of different turkey recipes.
Played with Playdough a LOT. Like a few times a week (including this morning).
Ate a LOT of cake that a girlfriend made for my birthday. I know the picture doesn't do this cake justice but look at how small the fork in it is. Delicious.
Cit has been wearing a LOT of accessories. He picked up a new cowboy hat & a pacifier habit.

We play in the kitchen a LOT. I'm not sure why Calan lines up utensils - maybe a little OCD?

We've spent LOTS of time in our PJs hanging out around the house. Jaycee has spent a few nights so the mornings are just a little extra crazy.
Shoes. Diaper. Pacifier.
Enough said.
We've decorated the house for CHRISTmas!!! We put up 2 trees, lights on the house, the nutcrackers are out & plenty of other decorations are around.
See Lola's glitter nose? She's so festive.
Just today we started making our gingerbread houses. I told Cit that they were to hot still so he grabbed his high chair, pulled it into the kitchen and started blowing to cool them off.
His blowing got a little close if you ask me.
Last, but not least, Sunday Cody & I reclaimed our bedroom.
We swapped our friends for their two twin beds and gave them our queen.  Calan moved out of his shared room with Camille to his very own big bedroom (our old guest room). Case is now out of our room!
WOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOO!
He moved into Calan's old crib in Camille's room. We weren't sure how the first night was going to play out. We packed up Case's playpen that had been in our room since last January & it went to the basement. We had no back up plan if Calan refused to sleep in his own room that night.  We tucked him in. Lola slept with him. And we didn't see him until 9ish the next morning. He loves his new room. Even when I put him down for his naps he stays in bed.
LIFE IS GOOD.
